The owner of a 24 ft Regal decided to park the #boat on top of #DimePier last night. #ChicagoPolice M3 safely removed all 5 occupants & brought them to shore & spared issuing them a parking ticket. Joking aside, this was 1 of 3 #vessels that ran into Dime Pier yesterday...

#ChicagoPolice @CPDMarineUnit M7 assisted a small vessel with 7 individuals stuck on Dime Pier. The #boat & all her passengers were safely removed. All #boaters should be aware of all navigational hazards on the #ChicagoLakefront.

Our security camera network has doubled in size since 2011. The cameras, found at every rail station and on every bus and train, have been an important tool to help @Chicago_Police identify crime suspects and detect crime patterns.

Earlier today, Deputy Chief Duane DeVries and Captain Sheamus Mannion engaged with fans as they eagerly waited for #JHOPE @lollapalooza. Officers helped keep fans hydrated by handing out waters and helping expedite entry as they formed lines for #jhopeAtLollapalooza. #HOBIPALOOZA

On May 19, 2022 this Community Alert was posted by our Public Transportation Detectives. With the help of @ChicagoCAPS07 Officers, one of the offenders were taken into custody this weekend. Our Detectives got Felony Charges approved for this crime!
