The wonderful Christian writer Jacques Philippe also wrote: "The most painful suffering is the suffering we reject." That being said -- Christianity, since its inception-- has always been at the forefront of ministries aiming to alleviate human suffering. So, if you're suffering with something that's treatable, look for help! But always do it while looking towards Christ, because if help isn't on the offing, there's a chance that deliverance might come through trial and not from it.

The love you’ve always been looking for from your parents, you’re going to get in the arms of your Father. The love you’ve been looking for from your spouse, you’re going to get in the arms of your ultimate spouse, Jesus Christ. The significance you’ve been trying to get from your job or your achievements or your art or your political causes or whatever—you’re going to get when the triune God says to you, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” – @timkellernyc Sermon, "Our Birth: Cosmic" gospelinlife.com/podcast

I’ve noticed a trend: some Christians, often younger men, feel justified in speaking harshly or even maliciously about other believers because they think bad theology warrants it. It doesn’t. “The Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone… correcting his opponents with gentleness.” (2 Timothy 2:24–25) Truth never requires unchristlike behavior.

Free Press: “On July 4, 2026, the American pope will visit Lampedusa, a tiny island in the Mediterranean that serves as a gateway for North African migrants risking everything to reach Europe. No pope has ever been more aware of what that date means, and Leo is too deliberate to have chosen July 4 by accident.”

' To even threaten let alone perform a mad action would alienate domestic and international audiences. Had Nixon used nuclear weapons in a war of choice, anti-war protests at home might have tipped into total civil breakdown.' - Janan Ganesh ft.com/content/ac08bd…

Some say the church is threatened by liberalism and others say evangelicalism but the real threat is non-discipleship to the words and ways of Jesus.

He was so good at theology/Christian formation and his sermons never fail to both convict and console me through Christ. And.... here he is, as usual -- exceptionally good at gently, but precisely diagnosing one of the ways "both sides" miss things, politically. I never sensed he was an "independent" as we think of it, politically; instead, he seemed to recognize the Gospel is independent of politics. It is about our heart and its relationship to God. Our sin and its relationship to our Creator. Thank God it's not about which political party is the party of God, because Christianity would be a bleak thing if so.

The Left puts far more emphasis on structure/systems than individual agency—in every section of the NYTimes. The Right puts far more emphasis on individual agency than on structure/systems in every section of the Wall Street Journal. Every day.

New study that will surprise many, published in Scientific Reports. "Masculine depression" which is associated with angry outbursts, self-destructive behaviors etc is a sex-independent condition. Furthermore, individuals afflicted with "masculine depression" are significantly likelier to experience higher overall level of psychological distress than those with "low masculine depression" which is associated with feelings of worthlessness, deep sadness etc news-medical.net/news/20260406/…

▶️ GOING LIVE ON YOUTUBE IN ONE HOUR! ⏳ Is there a purpose to the largest thing of all - The Universe? And does the weird world of the smallest things - Quantum Physics - tell us anything about it? Atheist theologian @equreshihurst believes the evidence points to a purely physical reality. However, Astrophysicist Paul Davies says there's a deeper meaning to the 'directionality' of our cosmos. 👉 SET YOUR REMINDER! youtu.be/kpFkwFh_rjE 🔔

The White House wonders why Europe won’t rally behind America in Iran. Maybe start by asking why your Vice President is flying to Budapest to have a warm chat with Viktor Orban, the man running a Russian influence operation from inside NATO’s borders. While Europe has been bleeding money and weapons to stop Russian aggression, Hungary has been blocking NATO decisions, sheltering Russian intelligence, and doing Moscow’s diplomatic dirty work at every turn. Orban isn’t America’s friend. He’s Putin’s man in Brussels. And JD Vance calls him a “good friend.” Europe is supposed to line up behind a war that had no plan for day two, no strategy for the Strait of Hormuz, and no consultation with allies beyond Israel. A war that has already sent oil past $100 a barrel and left one of America’s most powerful warships reportedly retreating toward the Indian Ocean. You don’t get to lecture Europe about loyalty while embracing the man working to destroy the alliance from within, and then demand backup for a war you started without asking anyone.
