Agenda of the meeting is to unpack and adopt the League's 2026 workplan , Devise strategies to accelerate programs aimed at improving the socio-ecomonic welfare of the Veterans of the liberation struggle through active participation in driving developmental projects aimed at improving livelihoods across communites. The League will also review progress made in mobilising league members in support of CAB 3.

Today I managed to visit the Mujuru family at their home in Harare to personally convey my heartfelt condolences following the tragic passing of Ronald Mujuru's wife and five children, in a fatal road accident along Harare-Masvingo Highway. As a mother and grandmother, I am still deeply pained by this unimaginable loss and I continue to stand with Mr Mujuru and the entire family, relatives and friends in this moment of profound grief. May the Almighty God continue to grant them strength, comfort and peace, and may our nation unite in prayer and compassion. May the departed dear souls rest in eternal peace.
