@OldStationSt The trend these days is for developers not to sell leasehold flats. Instead they are keeping the block as investments and only letting on assured shorthold tenancies. Long term it makes more money

Does anyone have any data on how many of these flats built in Birmingham city centre are 'ghost flats' bought by investors in Singapore/ Dubai/HK etc and just sit empty as their housing value increases? I guess it might be an FOI job based on council tax maybe?

Had brunch at Yorks Bakery. Apparently they don’t have white sugar for their customers. The choice is Demerara or candarel sweetener. Demerara in tea just seems wrong to me. They tried to tell me it was natural caster sugar! You can’t kid a baker!!! @YorksColmoreRow

My wee mammy passed away early this morning. We’re devastated but so proud of her. She had so much heart which she gave freely to others. We’ll miss her so much.

Whatever comes next he will smash it .. but a sad day hearing @yummy_brummie and his Birmingham @purnellsrest is closing. I have had many a great night with amazing company and outstanding food there .. a big loss to the City.

It’s 2 pm in the school holidays and #birmingham is gridlocked literally everywhere.. look at all the red! We need to do much better as a city.

@MayorWestMids @WestMidsPCC @BhamCityCouncil Every night you hear the engines as cars race up the A45. It’s dodge city out there. Parking on roundabouts ignoring red traffic lights and no one seems to understand yellow boxes! The experience of driving in Birmingham is worse than anywhere else in the country!
