Utterly brilliant interview by @edjames_ at around 11.10 this morning with @johnclancy. We need to get the Commissioners out of @BhamCityCouncil. They are a big problem not a solution.

It’s time to put the city and residents first - put political differences aside. Birmingham is not ungovernable. It needs stable, serious local leadership that puts residents first. Working with other parties locally is not the same as endorsing them nationally.

Good discussion with @edjames_ on @bbcwm on why stability matters. 18 months in, the Prime Minister should be allowed to focus on delivery not constant disruption. 👇🏽

1/8 My home town of Birmingham will get a lot of negative publicity over the coming days. The city has some major problems, it is true, but here's a few more positive facts and figures. These often get hidden by boundary or industrial structure issues.

There are people in your life that you just enjoy teasing and “bullying” like you’re siblings. @edjames_ is one of these people to me but since it’s his birthday, its a truce and I’ll say I’m so grateful to have such an intelligent, ambitious, positive, compassionate, and supportive human in my life with a beautiful soul and kind heart.
