Inaugurated " 200 MW Solar Module Manufacturing Line Unit developed by Central Electronics Limited #CEL, at Sahibabad, U.P. A striking outcome of Public-Private sector collaboration. "The operationalisation of this 200 MW Solar Module Manufacturing Line is a major milestone for India’s clean energy ecosystem and the facility reflects the country’s growing confidence in indigenous manufacturing and renewable energy expansion. National target of net-zero emissions by 2070 has been set by PM @narendramodi and India is rapidly expanding its capabilities across multiple non-fossil energy domains including solar energy, wind energy, nuclear energy and ocean-based energy systems. CEL’s been a historic contribution to India’s renewable energy journey. India’s first solar cell was manufactured here in 1977 and the country’s first solar plant was also established by the organisation in 1979. Despite such pioneering achievements, CEL’s contribution did not receive the recognition it deserved, but in recent years the institution is gaining renewed national visibility and relevance. CEL’s transformation from an institution once on the verge of disinvestment into a profit-making, revenue-generating Mini Ratna enterprise is a remarkable example of institutional revival".

Nanotechnology: Tiny Innovations Driving Tomorrow’s Technologies – Talk organized on National Science Day-2026 11th May, 2026 : While the world often looks to the stars for the next frontier, the most profound technological revolution is happening at the scale of atoms and molecules. Today, CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology highlighted the transformative power of Nanotechnology, a field where "thinking small" is yielding massive breakthroughs in medicine, energy, and electronics through the invited talk delivered by Dr. Nitin Singhal, Scientist F at NABI. By manipulating matter at this level, scientists are creating materials that are stronger, lighter, and more conductive than ever before. In his talk Dr. Singhal discussed the key pillars of nano-revolution medicine, electronics, sustainability, manufacturing fields. Dr. Karthikeyan Subramanian, Acting Director of IMTECH also highlighted the role of "Nanotechnology and highlighted the 'invisible' engine of the 21st century," He further said that "We are moving beyond simply discovering materials to actually designing them from the ground up to solve our most pressing global challenges." Shri Yash Pal, Nodal Officer (Swachhata Pakhwada-2026) informed that talk was organised as part of mandate by CSIR Hqrs. and guidelines of Ministry of Science & Technology. @CSIR_IND

My address at Inaugural Plenary of “Global Symposium on Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy”: Key takeaways: "World witnessing a paradigm shift to "Circular Economy", the idea of “waste” is rapidly disappearing. Here is the example of the government having earned more than Rs 4,000 cr simply from scrap including e-waste, during the 'Swachhata' campaign; The emerging model of circular economy, backed by recycling and biotechnology-driven innovations, is set to redefine industrial growth and sustainability across sectors. The next industrial revolution will increasingly be determined by these options. Policy Support, StartUps and Industry Participation can accelerate India’s Circular Economy Transition".

My remarks after releasing two NITI Aayog reports on easing research and development processes: "The @narendramodi government has taken a series of enabling steps including opening up sectors such as Space and Nuclear Energy to private players and creating dedicated mechanisms like the RDI fund. Private sector too should accelerate its participation in R&D activities. Ease of Research calls for systemic reforms with a change of mindset. Focus has to be on improving funding access, reducing bottlenecks and encouraging philanthropy".

Good News for Deep-tech followers: The "National Quantum Mission" launched by PM @NarendraModi in 2023, has achieved 1,000 km secure communication milestone in less than 3 years, even though it's target was to achieve 2,000 km secure communication capability in 8 years. Moving on fast track, Quantum Mission has also increased it's #StartUp tally from 8 to 17 within a short span of time, with 9 new deep-tech ventures. The newly StarUps are working on areas ranging from quantum biosensors for disease detection and photon sensing technologies to quantum positioning systems, atomic memory and precision electronic systems. The newly supported startups include Sense-XT, ORVISSEMI, QuBeats, Quantum AI Global, bloq, GDQLabs, Quantum Biosciences, Bumble Bee Instruments Pvt. Ltd., and SAS Qute Electronics Pvt. Ltd. At the same time, for the first of it's kind Rs 1 lakh crore Research Development Innovation (RDI) Fund rolled out by the government to accelerate the private sector, the Technology Development Board (TDB) has received over 100 proposals within two months of issuing a call, indicating growing industry interest. The initiative seeks to ensure both innovation and scalability in emerging sectors such as 6G, advanced manufacturing, space technologies and biotechnology.
