Anyone else have the problem where you spend the whole day hacking and then your brain won’t let you sleep until you hack it?
Like I have to find the correct rop-gadgets to ret2rem
gianmarco@GianmarcoSoresi
I asked my doctor about prescribing me sleep medication and he asked if I had tried “giving yourself permission to sleep” instead and now I’m so mad I don’t think I’ll ever sleep again

@JustinAlexP @styloshka 👋hi there. All Intel and AMD chromebooks are supported in Windows as of late-2023
ARM64 chromebook support (Kompanio 520 and up) is on the roadmap and may be coming in 2024 as Windows on ARM is being worked on
English

@styloshka there was a dev who used to be on here named CoolStar who ported Windows to various chromebooks. probably the first step towards making it a useful device coolstar.org/chromebook/

@monicamallon I live near the 23 and the bus comes seemingly at random and don't adhere to their schedule (leaving way too early, or arriving horrendously late) :/
I would really like to ride transit more, but VTA is an absolute joke

Have you checked out the latest Electrification Construction updates? caltrain.com/projects/elect….

@elihwyma @opa334dev it’s because logging creates a memory buffer, writes to a pipe/file (and waits for it to flush for stderr), and/or does IPC
So it introduces sleeps, potentially locks / thread switching, etc.
English

@opa334dev It’s incredible how only removing the logs can break so much shit. Truly a phenomenon I will never understand
English

Will you be joining us tomorrow? Let’s break the record!
Caltrain@Caltrain
Help us beat the public transit record! Show your support by taking public transit this Saturday, 9/16 in honor of #TransitMonth.

We’re giving out one EMU model each day this week as the #SummerOfCaltrain winds down.
To enter, tell us why you’re excited for electrification. We’ll pick one response randomly to receive the first model train!

@SFBART Wonder how many people rode to the @BLACKPINK concert yesterday, since I took BART for that!!!

We ain’t the only ones electrifying. Congrats, @SamTrans!

@JosephRyanRies @DebugPrivilege hey so I'm trying to figure out a similar bugcheck on an AMD Mendocino board I'm trying to boot Windows on (using coreboot + tianocore efi)
same bugcheck 171 CRYPTO_LIBRARY_INTERNAL_ERROR but the first argument is 0x72647378 (or 'rdsx')
any ideas for debugging this issue?

im not joking when i say chromebooks have done more damage to tech knowledge for people in school than anything else
Today in Tech History@DayTechHistory
On this day in 2011, the first commercially available Chromebooks from Samsung went on sale.
English

@MisutaaAsriel @neoncaelestis you can use a dediprog to flash coreboot onto it and then boot Windows
English

@neoncaelestis Like, damn, Apple at least lets you *install the OS*, and makes removing devices from an account remotely fairly streamlined.
Google wont even tell you why you can't even restore a clearly corrupted machine until you jump through 3 support docs and a 3rd party FAQ.
