The @AtlanticCouncil published a timely report on Special Operations Forces (SOF) in the age of competition. SOF is purpose-built for competition. We encourage everyone to read the report. Read here: atlanticcouncil.org/in-depth-resea… What you won't find in the report, however, is the role of the private sector and other stakeholders in the great power competition construct. SOF is a force multiplier whose value doesn't come from their ability to run faster or jump out of airplanes—it comes from their ability to think critically about threats our Nation faces using everything at their disposal. We see in Ukraine, Israel, and other hot spots around the world that dual-use technology, the industrial base, and data are tipping the scales on the battlefield. SOF needs to leverage its ability to conduct outreach not only to partner forces but also to American and allied private sectors and non-governmental organizations to utilize skill sets and resources to augment or amplify SOF mission sets in the open. This is how SOF can have exponential effects on our adversaries. #specialoperations #specialoperationsforces #atlanticcouncil #forcemultiplier
