Members of the Audio Production Club at @FayettevilleHS have been learning about what microphones do, as well as how sound waves behave. Members built mini sound booths out of cardboard and Styrofoam coolers to demonstrate how sound waves work. #CTEinFPS @fayar

Physical Computing w/ Embedded Systems and Robotics students at @FayettevilleHS have been learning how various hardware and sensors work, how to wire them on a breadboard, and how to code them using Python. These were the results of their "Make a System" project. #CTEinFPS @fayar

A team of Computer Science students from @FayettevilleHS won 5th place in the AR State Coding Competition. Members are Diego F., Arissa, C., and Charles M. They were accompanied by Mr. Faulkner, FHS Computer Science teacher.  Each student received $300. Congrats! #CTEinFPS @fayar

The 2026 Mid America Emmy Awards announced their high school nominees & winners earlier this week and @FayettevilleHS was well represented!  FHS TV students were nominated for 6 awards overall, including winning the On-Air Talent award for Ross M.! #CTEinFPS @fayar @emmymidam

Fayetteville #FFA members spent their Saturday giving back to the community by picking up trash along the College Branch Creek & the TSA La Gi Trail across from @FayettevilleHS. They displayed dedication, teamwork, & pride in keeping our local spaces clean!  #CTEinFPS @Fayar

Food Safety and Nutrition students at @FayettevilleHS have been participating in @kingarthurbaking "Bake for Good Program." This is a free educational outreach initiative for students in grades 4–12, teaching students the math and science of bread baking. #CTEinFPS @fayar

Ag Mechanics students at @FayettevilleHS have been learning the proper techniques for using an oxy-acetylene welding setup. They’ve been working on how to safely set up the equipment, correctly shut it down, and are now practicing proper welding techniques. #CTEinFPS @fayar

Patient Care Technician students from @FayettevilleHS had the opportunity to work with nurses from Washington Regional Medical Center this week to improve their patient care skills. Thank you, @wregional Training and Development Department! #CTEinFPS @fayar

A team of @FayettevilleHS Computer Science students known as the "Vibe Coders" won first place at the High School Programming Contest, held at the University of Arkansas.  The team consisted of Diego F., Arissa C., and Charles M.  Congratulations! #CTEinFPS @fayar

Becky McCormick, Regional Specialist for the Division of Career & Technical Education, Arkansas Department of Education, visited several CTE programs at @FayettevilleHS yesterday. #CTEinFPS @fayar

Year 1 Programming students at @FayettevilleHS have been busy putting their skills to the test. They have been learning how to program microcontrollers (Picos) to interact with components such as LEDs, sensors, and motors on a breadboard.  #CTEinFPS @fayar #ComputerScience

Exploring Personal Finance students at @woodlandcolts took a look at alternatives to a traditional 4-year college degree in an exploration activity this week. They looked at and matched definitions, time frames, and types of careers that can be acquired. #CTEinFPS @fayar

Emergency Services students from @FayettevilleHS made their final visit to the @FYVFIRE training center this week to complete the required Hazardous Materials training. Thank you, FFD, for your support of our program! #CTEinFPS @fayar

The @FayettevilleHS #FFA Ag Mechanics team placed 1st & the Ag Electricity team 2nd at the @Nwti_Edu competition.   Hunter W. placed 3rd overall in the Mechanics event. Team members are Woodrow, Davis, Riley, Hunter, Shep, Brayden, Nate, Oswaldo, & Lennon D. #CTEinFPS @fayar
