Our #ResidentPhotog is busy plowing and working to restore public access to our @CTFortTrumbull family of parks. This is the view at Sherwood Island this morning and a park road. Please give our folks time to clean up and welcome you back safely.

While our #ResidentPhotog caught a gorgeous view of @CTFortTrumbull a few weeks ago, the view tomorrow 2-23-2026 and Tuesday will likely be less picturesque. All of our parks will be closed until we can safely open them. Stay warm and be safe.

Our Resident Photog got this great shot @CTFortTrumbull last week. We are closed today 1-25-2026. Please check here before heading to our parks: Forts Trumbull and Griswold, Haley Farm and Bluff Point. We will reopen when it’s safe to do so.

Consistent with travel advisories, all State Parks and Forests will be closed Sunday as emergency services will not be able to access these properties in a safe and timely manner. State Parks and Forests will reopen Monday as soon as snow is cleared at individual locations.

With rain in the forecast, we’ve adjusted the schedule and will grade Bluff Point State Park and Coastal Reserve’s driveway on Wednesday 11/12/2025. We will be closed to visitors. @CTStateParks #GrotonCT #BluffPoint

Monday (11/10/25) is the day, Bluff Point State Park will be closed for road grading. We look forward to seeing you, driving in slowly 😁 on Tuesday.

There’s always something to see @CTFortTrumbull. This is the last weekend our Visitors’ Center and Fort will be open for tours. Due to the Federal Government Shutdown, the #BarqueEagle is not open for tours. But our grounds are looking great. Come see!
