The @CTHouseDems now caucusing possible revised amendment on HB 5002. Still haven’t been brought in to discuss CCM’s issues - despite outlining our recommendations earlier today. We are here.

We're in a crisis. HB5002 offers a way forward. What does CCM offer? Complaints. No solutions. Nothing for the towns and cities it's supposed to represent.

CCM says meeting the unit goals in a state study will result in overproduction. Not true: Towns are being asked to plan and zone for more affordable housing. After the zoning is in place, if the market doesn’t exist, the housing will not be built.

As the CT General Assembly debates housing reform, there's a lot of misinformation out there, with @CCMAdvocacy leading the way. CCM has had a lot to say, but one thing is conspicuously missing -- a plan to solve the state's crippling housing crisis.
