@TexasTSLA The problem is clear. FSD is HW4 memory limited. Musk, June 2025, "must be be super frugal with memory bandwidth". Jan 19 - "AI5 is existential to Tesla". Rewrote compiler with MLIR to gain 20% execution speed, lots of work for minimal gain. FSD is stuck until AI5.

My honest thoughts on FSD 14.3 Needs better memory to avoid infinite looping Needs to improve in street parking while on madmax Brake stabbing seems to be creeping back again 🔪 Still not fluent in sign reading 😖 (Ignored "STOP DO NOT ENTER") Still not fluent in lane reading (straight only but it turns left) 😖 Seems to not like turning on red even if it's okay to do 😐 Great at detecting pedestrians and stopping 😱✅👌🏻 Doesn't do everything perfect or follow all the laws but it's still smooth Can't wait for better sign reading, better lane reading, max speed adjustment (HW3 still has it 🥳) more natural turning on red, banish, MAP/NAV UPDATES!, Unsupervised, summon across the country, and a few more things Not sure if I'd say 14.3 is the final big piece of the puzzle but if you have 14.2 enjoy it and know you aren't missing out on some giant leap or getting pure sentience with FSD 14.3...its awesome to try it out first tho 😅 I'm sure they'll iron out the bugs...Thanks @DavidMoss and @scotsrule08 for letting me tag along! 🫡🙏🏻

Aim for 2:30-2:50 hr and you are good. Use the pacer runners to help. Shoot for slower first 6 miles and faster last 7 miles to get best time. Most people go out too fast and end up hitting a brick wall by mile 10. I just finished my first official half marathon last Saturday with personal record time. Good Luck Bro!

@JustThink65 @DevinOlsenn I am pretty sure Tesla AI has the ability to review the footage and recreate it in simulation, letting FSD proceed without the intervention to determine the final outcome.

The thing about disengagements is that the second you disengage you will never know what would have happened. It certainly appears that FSD didn’t recognize the sound well enough, but that does not mean that it would not have stopped whether it was a car running a red light or an ambulance. We will never know.

FSD V14.2 Ambulance Fail As always I think it's healthy to show the good and the bad with FSD. Last night when I was out testing 14.2 I ran into an issue where an ambulance was coming from my right and FSD failed to notice it in time. I ended up having to disengage which marked my first and only (non-nav related) disengagement on V14.2. Let me know what you think in the comments.
