@treadmillhorse The problem with calling an AD good or bad and judging them by one sport is it doesn’t tell the whole picture. Whit had a lot of success at VT. He brought in Franklin, which may or may not turn things around. If football goes 9-5 next year, will people credit him? I will.

Thoughts on Whit: 💵 Improved VT athletics financially. It was on solid ground when he took over but he took it to a much higher level. The athletics budget was not ACC caliber when he arrived and now it is. 🏈 The product on the field has been poor throughout his tenure. Outside of a couple of notable improvements in Olympic sports, the revenue sports have been disappointing. The next AD needs to fix that. The criticism that VT doesn’t have a single team national championship is a valid and warranted.

Went 0-2, over did not hit and of course lose on the hook with -6.5. Will be back in November in college basketball and in the meantime will look to dominate the baseball board.

The breaks very much went against on this day, went 4-9 with Vandy’s late collapse, that over missing by a hook, and Liberty +7.5 losing after Liberty was up 61-58 with 4:15 to play. Will look to do better on Sunday & hope the breaks iron out a bit.

I do agree with what you are saying. However, when a player has cost us some games at the end and is clearly in one of the worst slumps I think I’ve ever watched maybe it’s best to bench him for a little bit. We have a lot of talent on this team and should be a tournament team but somehow we are still on the outside looking in.

Yall gotta live with Avdalas’ freshman wall phase, he’s already putting too much pressure on himself through expectations. The reactions and boos aren’t helping him AT ALL.

One of the worst interviews I’ve watched. Kid is thrilled about his performance and Todd Lewis’s first three questions are about not shooting 59. He then goes on talking about how he’s tied with Scottie and has a chance to win the tournament despite Blades saying a couple of times we’re only halfway there. Let the kid process and back off a lil bit.

Although he came up one short of 59, 18-year-old Blades Brown (T-1) had his best day of work yet as a pro. 🔥👏
