@TJMcScotsman @aodanhill @dwbh67 You're either being disingenuous or haven't read what I've said if you think I'm in favour of non-citizen foreign nationals having a vote.
Let me be clear: I don't think they, nor Scots who have departed (on a permanent basis) should have a vote.
English

@CT_1874 @aodanhill @dwbh67 Left Scotland? You mean moved to a different part of the UK. A Scots born British citizen shouldn't get to vote but some 3rd World shithole migrant squatting in Scotland on benefits should?
You fucking traitorous cunt.
English

If you have lived in Scotland all your life and contributed to Scottish society all your life, your vote is equal to that of an international student who moved here a year or so ago.

No matter where you were born, if you live in Scotland you can vote in the Scottish Parliament election on 7 May 2026. Make sure you’re registered and ready to have your say 👉 gov.uk/register-to-vo…
English

@TJMcScotsman @aodanhill @dwbh67 Those living outside of Scotland *couldn't* vote, which is why I wasn't counting them.
The majority of Scots-born people who voted, voted yes.
And I don't agree that they should. Why should someone who left Scotland decide it's future? Same issue as with non-citizens voting.
English

@CT_1874 @aodanhill @dwbh67 "The majority of people born in Scotland voted for independence." Horseshit. Anywhere from 800k to over a million Scottish born people living in the UK were deliberately excluded by the SNP. Any Scot in the UK should have had a vote.
English

@JamesKelly @aodanhill You are aware Citizenship and Residency are two different things. Right?
English

@CT_1874 @aodanhill Nice try, but if you want to exclude some residents of Scotland on independence day from citizenship, you must be making a differentiation somehow to select the unlucky ones.
English

How many votes do you want? Five? "One person, one vote" is generally the way democracy works.

English

@MS188888 @TJMcScotsman @aodanhill @dwbh67 Yes. I wasn't talking about that.
I was talking about people born elsewhere who could vote (i.e., living in Scotland).
I didn't say, at all, that everyone born in Scotland voted.
English

@CT_1874 @TJMcScotsman @aodanhill @dwbh67 That’s completely false. Many people born in Scotland live outside Scotland and didn’t have a vote.
English

@JamesKelly @aodanhill You're the one making it racial.
Anyone can be a Citizen (British or, someday, Scottish) irrespective of their race or ethnicity.
That status should be a qualification to vote, otherwise you have people who have no intention of staying (students, temp. workers, etc) voting.
English

@aodanhill But if you exclude people from citizenship on a racial basis, how can you deny that you're disenfranchising them on the same basis?
English

@TJMcScotsman @aodanhill @dwbh67 He said "Born in Scotland".
The votes of EU Nationals and Other British swayed IndyRef to the side of no.
If it was just people *born* in Scotland, we would be independent.
English

@aodanhill @dwbh67 That isn't true because the vote was restricted to people in Scotland. Actual Scots living in other parts of the UK, as British citizens, were denied the vote. Even Brexit allowed British citizens elsewhere in Europe a vote. The Left are fundamentally dishonest.

Uncovered terrace... so Sinclair St...?
I would guess that those who stand over there aren't the ones the league has any issue with.
Bizzare.

I'm glad these sorts of places exist during major tournaments tbf as it keeps the beer chuckers out of the proper pubs.

I cannot physically believe that people will pay this to watch a FREE football game and then further pay £10 for a singular pint

@CollE185904 @LukeSmalley27 @RichFay There are zero reverse image search matches to that picture. It's theirs, clearly.

@LukeSmalley27 @RichFay Google images.
You were in Hong Kong this morning love x
English

@yetiayrshore @PaulJSweeney It wouldn't be quicker to get to if GARL was built. That's kind of the point.
English

@PaulJSweeney You forget there’s a better, faster, larger airport that has its own station and is actually faster to get to than GLA at peak times?

English

You can currently get a train from central Glasgow to Manchester Airport, but not Glasgow Airport. With over 8 million people using the airport in 2024 alone, this lack of accessibility cannot continue.
Recent increased prices for airport drop off and restricted bus links mean the airport is becoming unfeasible for many.
@GARL_2_0 are calling for the revival of the Glasgow Airport Rail Link. Check out their campaign and how to get involved👇

As someone:
with Tourette’s,
Who’s mixed race,
Who got cancelled by millions of people for an n word tic to the point of mass death threats,
Who has presented multiple awards (including a BAFTA game award),
I have so much to say about this but I can’t record today.
I have been where John is, and people debated for years whether I deserved the right to livestream because I have TS, it’s sucks that this is still happening to people when google is free. People are wilfully misunderstanding Tourette’s at this point. Everyone deserves empathy here. I hope him, Michael and Delroy are doing ok.
English

@ranrampant @CoIinho @BSwizzley6niner @zerocool85 @sweetanita He did. Not only did he do it to them privately he also did it publically.
English

@CoIinho @BSwizzley6niner @zerocool85 @sweetanita And yet he didn't apologize for using a loaded racial slur. Interesting how you skipped over that!
English

@thecow6oy @cezthesocialist @reese1125940 Mad and upset are two different things. It's bad and no doubt upsetting but you cannot be mad at someone for something he cannot control. He's no doubt sorry, probably kicking himself over it - but being *mad* is just shows a complete lack of understanding.
English

@cezthesocialist @reese1125940 yall telling black people to not be mad...

@cmo85 In truth I was quite tongue-in-cheek at first to expose how ridiculous the comments about the Irish chap were; although I do believe the fundamental point that "real" Scots voted Yes is important to recognise, too.
English

@cmo85 Politically speaking, yes.
In a Scottish election [or referendum] we should recognise that English immigrants to Scotland are as much denying the will of "native" Scots as, say, EU nationals did in 2014, or as foreign nationals do now.
I'm not saying take their vote away.
English

One with a brain may suggest that means I'm not Anti-English...
If you read "The Majority's" original posts you'll see they said the exact same thing about the Irish as I then did the English - then spat the dummy out when I turned it round.
Rattled all the right people here 🤭

@cmo85 I should be clear I am agreeing with you - my first line was a swipe at those foaming at the mouth in that thread. Word choice has let me down here.
