Last week before Christmas break & our students will get to choose how they want to be active with some “Free Choice” station activities. Here’s a look 👀 #physed#studentchoice
“I have been a women’s lacrosse coach for more than 27 years.
“I have been inducted into three halls of fame for coaching and contributing to the growth of lacrosse, and there is an award in my name.
“Oberlin College removed me from coaching women’s lacrosse after I chose to publicly tell my story and refused to be silent or back down about my belief that men—no matter how they self-identify—should not be allowed to compete in women’s sporting events.”
Kim Russell, Former Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Oberlin College
@pe4everykid I feel your pain. Tried to repair beach balls with tape and super glue. Just no good way to repair them. Ss need to take care of them. The best equipment to teach volley skills.
Don’t kick the beach balls. Don’t sit on the beach balls. Don’t lay on the beach balls. Don’t argue over the beach balls and try to take it away from another person. They will pop. Repeat 100s of times. 🤦🏻♂️ #physed#thisiswhywecanthavenicethings
2nd grade playing bridge Object of the game is to get your whole team on the bridge(Mats). Start with 1 player on the mat. If they catch your ball. You join them on the mat to be a catcher. 1st team to get whole team on the mat wins #PhysEd@siouxcityschool@loesshillselem
Volley means to keep the ball in the air. 3rd playing 4 way volleyball. Hit it as many times as you can, just do not let it land on your court. They loved it. @loesshillselem #Physed
@ElemPE1 I am always looking for new way or different ways to present a standard or warmup activity. I get so many new ideas. Love the short videos and the concise format. If I am interested I can ask questions and I get an answer very quickly. Just a great way to improve my teaching.
My favorite throwing & catching activity. Be the 1st team to collect all the hoops. Must have 1 foot in the hoop on the catch. Forth grade class at Loess Hills Elementary. @siouxcityschool @loesshillselem #PhysEd
After having kindergarten stack up all the poly spots by color at the end of class, I turn to tie a shoe only to turn around 2 seconds later and see “that one” student practicing their kicking skills. 🤷🏻♂️ Who can relate? #PhysEd It’s just been one of those days.
