@SebAaltonen 5080 is about 5 percent slower than the 4090 when you oc it, and you can't really oc the 4090 or 5090 as you are basically at the limit of what the cable can carry power wise. 4090 is still amazing but the 5080 is basically a 4090 with less vram

Buying a RTX 4090 at launch (1700€) was the best move. 5 years at the top. 5090 is a bit faster, but 5080 is 20% slower than 4090. If 6080 is +30% faster than 5080, it will be only 10% faster than 4090. Thus 4090 will still be high end for +3 years. That's 8 years in total.
