Darryn Peterson reveals taking a high dosage of creatine led to his cramping issues at Kansas and he was taken to the hospital by ambulance in September because he thought he was going to die, per @ramonashelburne "I made it to the training room and just started begging them to call 911. They were trying to get a vein to get me the IV, get me back hydrated. But I was cramping so hard they couldn't get a vein. I thought I was going to die on the training table that day." @JoshPateCFB 1 year Toledo, 5 years Michigan State....then 4 years LSU. His first 6 years aren't at the same level as ND. Nonetheless, winning a national championship is hard. Freeman puts his team in a position to do that.

Marcus Freeman is 40 years old. He's been a head coach for 5 seasons. Nick Saban (widely considered the best ever) won his first title in his 10th season as a head coach at age 52.

@dandakich Kansas implemented shot clocks two years ago and it has improved the overall flow of the game. No more stall ball!

No need for a shot clock in high school High School sports aren’t supposed to “prepare players for the next level” It’s simply competition between schools!! No clock is the way the game is to be played at that level at least in Indiana I applaud the decision
WISH-TV News@WISHNews8

BREAKING: The proposal for a 35-second shot clock in Indiana high school basketball failed to pass. IHSAA commissioner Paul Neidig shares with WISH-TV his thoughts on the decision: "Tradition certainly carries a lot here in Indiana. Maybe more than other states."

The Thompson twins are both 6'7, 215 pounds with 40+ inch verticals and great ball handling skills (wish Ausar shot the 3 better as a Pistons fan lol) If you are asking why the get paid more than Myles Garrett, it's simple....Roster size.
Breiden Fehoko@BreidenFehoko

See here’s the thing about the NBA I could give you 50-100 guys from the NFL who could do what the Thompson twins or Lu Dort do on a nightly basis. You can’t show me 1 guy from the NBA who could do what Myles Garrett does on a weekly basis. It’s levels.

Easter week, Wednesday, Sunday moratorium failed to pass in KSHSAA board of directors meeting. Easter Week and Wednesday were never motioned to vote. St. Marys principal Adam Hurla motioned the Sunday moratorium, but it failed 58-4. cjonline.com/story/sports/h…

Watching pro hoops in Puerto Rico…former #KStateMBB player Angel Rodriguez is playing, so is @TWChargersBBall alum Onzie Branch. Former NBA player Malik Beasley also here, among some other former college hoops stars.

#Illini head coach Brad Underwood shouts out his hometown: McPherson, Kansas - in the Elite 8 preview press conference. "An unbelievable little basketball community in Kansas." Here's Coach on his long journey to getting to this point, saying he always worked for winners. "It's been maybe a different path than most, but there's not one step of that I would give up." Hey NCAA, us more about players that don’t show “loyalty,” don’t want to go through “adversity” and how player movement impacts stability. Tell us more about “tampering” and “poaching.” The Coaches Portal is ALWAYS open. Funny how silent coaches and administrators are about that.

@derekjoiner You are correct! I haven’t looked, in depth, on how other states do it, but would be a great conversation to have.

@CUlsaker I’m not an educator. With block scheduling, 5 days a week at 2pm would still be two different classes? Or just 2pm on Wednesday’s?

@derekjoiner Block schedules would just be 1 class. Would count as an elective class. Not sure what you would do if you do 7 class periods! Something to iron out.

‼️🏛️ KANSAS SB 515 📜‼️ Important issue taking place at the State Capitol right now regarding Kansas high school athletics. What began as a bill to allow homeschool/non-accredited private school students the ability to participate in KSHSAA-approved private school activities was amended by Senate Majority Leader, Chase Blasi, to also include a "moratorium on interscholastic contests, activities and practices". This would DISALLOW any "interscholastic activities or practices and no staff members present for any such activities or practices, regardless of whether such activities or practices take place on or off the school premises" for ALL of the following dates: 🗓️ EVERY Sunday 🗓️ Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm - 11:59 pm between September 1st and April 30th 🗓️ A five-day period that includes Christmas, a four-day period ending on Easter, and a seven-day period that includes July 4th The original bill was introduced, amended, and passed in the Senate within a month and now heads to the House. 👉Anyone interested in or considering voicing their opinion on this potential shakeup in the activities/athletics calendar should contact their district constituents as this amendment is NOT a KSHSAA submission.
