Yeah I get that and nascar isn’t IMSA but IMSA runs a 6 hour enduro with 3 different classes and they don’t seem to have a problem which is why they don’t need tires up. I don’t love the ones in the carousel but I do think the tires at T1 are good for making it more of a normal race. Just think NASCAR guys are best in the world so should be able to make speed in legal places.

@CWh1tty It’s not as much about the material. It’s about the obstacle that potentially forces checkups & pileups.. ripple effect of the bad placement (as well as end of carousel.. arguably worse)

This is so insane to me. Just make it grass or sand. This is just unnecessary carnage waiting to happen

They are trying to kill this series. They actually don’t want anyone to watch it. They want viewership to go down so they have a free excuse to replace the car with the electric CUV crossover. & When everyone freaks out, they’ll point to the decline in viewership that they themselves caused intentionally.
