@wayno265 @cyclocross24 It’s ok they have changed the course and taken out the bit that scared me!!! Remember what else I said? The section that scared me was 100m in 2.8km. There’s 2700m which are good for you! I always had good results there despite this. Last lap all in people slow down too much then

@CXHelen @cyclocross24 I did one of your clinics in the summer and asked you if there was a course that scared you. You replied “Yes, Namen”. I thought “That’s ok, it’s at Namur where I’ve just signed up for the European masters”. I’ve just found out they’re the same place🙈 Any tips?!

@kapelmuur29 @CXHelen @DaveWhite99 @FinishLineRT I used to talk to my mechanics about the place I wanted them to stand (if there was a choice), gear selection, signals about changing treads or pressures, the chance of me coming in in lap 1 to avoid traffic, the possibility of getting hard tyres for a sprint, etc.

Equally pit etiquette is really held up by the mechanics and they all know each other and clearly hers have never been to a cross race so wouldn’t have the ability to just move or even be told quick come in here by their mates

@CXHelen @StefanWyman Good to hear Helen, you seem to have got the work/life/parenting balance down to a T. Too late for a toddler in my life, besides that would impinge on my ability to sofa slump watching daytime Cross coverage on TV. Nice job on Koppenburg races yesterday, very informative.

@DaveWhite99 @CXHelen If she’s not used to Shimano she wouldn’t know how to deactivate crash mode, one of the first things I teach my riders

@DaveWhite99 @FinishLineRT It seems she was a sram athlete until she switched teams so sure for the second one. But the first issue was a stuck chain and her pit crew didn’t move to the closest pit, but stayed furthest away in an uphill pit and then handed her her bike on the wrong side🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

@FinishLineRT @CXHelen Very true! Can’t wait to see her get a clear race in, amazing result considering the time she lost with the two mechanicals. I’m sure a lot of the other front runners noticed too.

@CXHelen @GcnRacing Fantastic races but especially the men’s race which was epic. Usually the women’s race is more exciting but not today. Great commentary again.
