Uncontrolled access to the internet, she says, is akin to drink-driving. Fine. Let's take that seriously for a second. Let's take it more seriously than she wants us to - because she doesn't mean it as a principle. She means it as a permission slip. If uncontrolled access is the danger - really the danger, not the pretext - then it doesn't stop at the citizen with a phone. It applies to every unmonitored channel, every unchecked exercise of reach and power. Including hers. Including the Commission's. Including every committee sitting behind a closed door deciding what the rest of us are allowed to say to each other in private. Funny how the principle discovers its limits exactly there. Because that's not an oversight. That's the design. You don't accidentally build a rule about the danger of being unwatched and then exempt the only people with the actual capacity to do damage at scale. You do it on purpose. You do it because the rule was never about danger - it was about who gets to hold the leash. A citizen's private message is not the equivalent of an institution with police power, legislative reach, and access to the data of four hundred million people. The asymmetry runs entirely the other way. And she knows it. This isn't a category error. It's the whole strategy. That's what a power grab looks like when it's dressed respectably. It doesn't arrive as a jackboot. It arrives as a child-safety statistic and a car analogy, one clause at a time, each one reasonable enough on its own that objecting makes you sound paranoid - until you notice the direction every single clause points. Toward the citizen, never toward the state. Toward more visibility for us, more darkness for them. That is not incidental. That is the architecture of every authoritarian creep that has ever dressed itself in the language of protection. You don't get to totalitarianism by announcing it. You get there by a thousand justified exceptions, each one aimed the same way, each one defended by people who insist they'd never let it go that far - right up until it does. So no, this isn't a double standard. Call it what it is. It's a state grabbing power over its citizens' private lives while explicitly refusing the same power over itself, justified by an analogy it would never survive if applied honestly. That is not a policy. That is the first move in the oldest playbook there is - and the fact that it's being made by people who'd be horrified to hear it named that way is exactly how it always gets made

AL-Saqar's Family Issue Threats of "Tribal Retaliation" To Irish Online Commentators "STATEMENT, WARNING & TRIBAL NOTICE" FROM MURDER SUSPECT'S FAMILY “Unfortunately, some reckless voices have rushed ahead of the ongoing case involving our son Ahmad Al-Suqour (previously residing in Ireland),” it continues. The statement claims that the family have faced “malicious attempts” to “spread racism and sow division among the people of our united Jordanian and Palestinian community.” They further claim that people have been “insulting the dignity of the young man and the reputation of the Al-Suqour tribe throughout the country”. The family then warn that they will pursue “legal action” against “defamation” or “racist incitement”, and say that a “legal team” has already been formed to this end. They add that evidence of such online commentary will be submitted to the Cybercrime Unit of the Jordanian police. The family say that in addition to this, they will pursue anyone who “insults members of the tribe or their family” through “tribal customs and traditions”. To sign off, the statement says: “we trust the judiciary and the course of justice. We will not allow any platform or irresponsible individual to turn themselves into judge and jury."

Yep. It really is not that complicated at all. But our government are now saying the problem is Irish society is too misogynistic. They absolutely will not address the dangerous foreign crime stats, won't record the data, count anyone with an Irish passport as Irish anyway so the numbers if recorded will be all over the place. The prison population figures are extremely skewed because any third worlder they fast tracked a passport to is classified as Irish to them. So their answer is to blame Irish men for being toxic. I've been saying for years that Ireland is the most corrupt country in the West, and up there with the worst of them on the world stage - it's just that they have legalised corruption whenever they need to and bring in new laws whenever the people make the slightest bit of headway with getting them out or proving how corrupt they are. Bribery, nepotism, back handers, child trafficking rings, pedos, legalised human traffickers (ipas/refugee industrial complex ran by Irish traitors who are friends of the gov and making 100s of millions), state media that is nothing but lies and a propaganda arm of the gov, whole country ran by Godless wealth mongers and the evil EU who have all demoralised and brainwashed the population so much that the masses are cheering on our own destruction. They let in 1 million people since 2020. They say 27% of the population are foreign born but the figures are obviously way higher than that. It is evil incarnate what has ben done to us. We cannot vote our way out of this.

It's baffling how people don't see this. I remember being bored as hell in 6th class in the early 90s when Mrs O'Brien in history lessons spent weeks on absentee landlords before the republic was formed. Those old days now seem like a warm up for what's happening today, and for what is to come.

To anyone saying I’m not Irish for posting that bonfire with the mosque. I’m not supporting loyalists. My roots are pure Irish🇮🇪! My family were part of the ancient clans of the west, warriors and lords who defended their territories for hundreds of years, resisted every wave of colonisation, and kept the fire of Gaelic culture alive against all odds. A mosque burning on a bonfire isn’t celebration or culture it’s a clear warning. Loving Ireland and fighting to preserve it is in my blood. Who else sees what I see ??

You guys are pathetic. And the art world is a pretentious pile of circle jerking shite, especially in Ireland. Bunch of wasters self-flagellating over their own deconstructionist slop. It is completely void of soul, meaning and voice. Privileged loser idiots are too self-absorbed to learn how to adapt to modern tech, so, like all communist-adjacent cry-babies, their offended little brains lash out - demanding the taxpayer bow down to their warped view of reality and support their post-modern vomit. Jealous charlatans quivering in the corner because AI has surpassed their so-called abilities and they're being exposed for the snake-oil salesfolk they really are.

🎨🎶 Stop Irish artists being ripped off in the age of AI. Their work shouldn't be used to train AI to make content without consent or fair pay. Sinn Féin is bringing a motion to the Dáil to protect artists' copyright, livelihoods and creativity, while ensuring public arts funding supports human made art, not AI-generated content. Irish artists deserve better.🎭
