The search for dark matter is on!🥳 The Migdal experiment🧪, a collaboration of 11 institutions led by @RutherfordAplab PPD and @imperialcollege, has been constructed at the NILE facility at @isisneutronmuon and it’s ready to receive its first neutrons ⚛️

We had a great final day to our collaboration conference, with graduate student talks, more updates on progress with experiments and simulations, and an exciting zoom session hearing from colleagues in the MAGIS-100 collaboration in the US.

We’re working towards building an atom interferometer for #DarkMatter and #GravitationalWave detection in a 100 m (then 1 km!) deep shaft - this week we visited a possible site at the Boulby underground lab @BoulbyLab in North Yorkshire. Thanks for having us! @STFC_Matters
