What you call powerful and inspiring comes across as overhyped, poorly executed and hollow. The pacing, writing and performances fail to deliver anything remotely memorable and the messaging is heavy handed at best. Frankly, this just makes it clear you have a consistently poor taste in films, elevating mediocrity into must watch status doesn’t make it good, it makes it misleading. Criticism of the BAFTA controversy doesn’t require aligning with a subpar movie. Quality and insight aren’t interchangeable.

I watched this movie last night. Incredibly powerful and inspiring. Might have been wise for all those gobbing off about the BAFTA N-word saga to have watched it too before making so many shockingly ill-informed comments. I'm looking at the likes of you, Jamie Foxx!
