@der_flow_ @sidefx so into this! been doing the same thing but just saving each stems full waveform/fft ( broken out into stems ) in a big texture been SO amazing to see how much individual stem visualization helps

We've recently gotten into doing lots of audio-visualization RnD at sunmachine.io . So I've built a @sidefx Houdini HDA that extracts stems from music and outputs clean midi for the instruments. I've then piped it into a little POP solver advecting particles with the filamentsample() function only, because it looks cool!

A flock of 2048 #boids, GPU accelerated using compute shaders in #GodotEngine and GDScript. Still need to add obstacle management. No funky optimisation as the purpose is not to render millions of boids. #gamedev

One of the tedious aspects of modeling SDFs with raw shader code is adjusting the position of objects, so I'm adding transform gizmos into my tool They write changes directly to the shader on disk, so I don't need an external object hierarchy tdhooper.github.io/offline-shader…

Because I don't have enough problems in my life, I decided to make a custom render engine in #Blender so I can code GLSL shaders and render them nicely
