We are profoundly saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Mahon. Peter was a Board Director at Cabrini for 10 years and was a significant contributor, playing a major role in the construction of the Gandel Wing. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

Last week we officially opened two new ground-floor theatres with a traditional blessing. On Tuesday, the theatres received patients for the first time – a milestone made possible thanks to our staff's incredible support and patience.

Today marks National Sorry Day- a day where we remember and acknowledge the pain and suffering which continues to be felt by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families who endured the pain and loss of loved ones through the separation of children from their families.

Today was a special day at Cabrini as we celebrated Monnie Mayor’s 102nd birthday. Monnie enjoyed cake with her niece and nursing team and shared a few stories from her remarkable life. “Looking back on it all, I’m satisfied with everything I did and that’s a lovely place to be.”
