We no longer need to memorize, so we more than ever need to understand.

@KeslerRosa36026 @Runix25 @CachetMarie To prevent a collapse, governments will have to push universal basic income so spending continues, so corporations can make money that can be taxed (at much higher rates to offset the loss of individual taxes), to support the government, to fund th economy.

@Bjornfrd 1. Homestead, 2. Nurture and develop your and your kids' curiosity, 3. Learn how to use AI.

@Runix25 Yes, of course, but that means the same for the most of us.

@CachetMarie It's not that it won't exist. It's just 1 person will be able to do the work of 100 people. Just like industrialized farming equipment allows 1 person to do the work of 100. Those other 50 people build those machines, 49 will do new things (entertainment)

@CachetMarie The more "modern" tech jobs will not survive at all, but the traditional back to our roots jobs, if people care enough will. Being a wife, a mother, homesteading farmer, etc thoose will always survive.

AI is dangerous precisely because it's so good. I wonder which jobs will survive.

@MininoContanza Extremely good and efficient. We are hens in the farm now. The difference is that we have contact with the real world "for real", and we are biological.

@Elvhenan__ High-precision robots already exist, but who will pay for the manual jobs?

Everything that needs to be done with actual hands because there won’t be so high precision robots for hundreds of years, so there are actually plenty of jobs. Many trades will remain: masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, maintenance. Healthcare too, especially roles involving direct patient care. Engineering and infrastructure, because someone still has to design, build, supervise, and fix systems. Also many in fields tied to authority and accountability: law enforcement, emergency response, military. Even within IT, someone has to design internal systems, debug hard cases, and take accountability when things don’t work. Also services built on physical interaction like massage therapy, spa treatments, hairdressing, beauty work, etc. So, plenty to go 😊

@_negativemagick No! Who will pay for manual labor if well-paid jobs disappear? Being resourceful, yes; working in manual labor, no, that's the wrong solution.

@CachetMarie Kids need to learn labor trades if they want to stand on their own in the world of AI.

With AI, knowledge is no longer scarce. The real difference is the ability to ask questions. This is the opposite of what current education promotes. We have a HUGE problem.

@CachetMarie You're absolutely right. I'm a graphic designer, and I see many of my colleagues complaining because people prefer to order things like posters and album covers from a machine. However, it will never completely surpass humans; machines will always make mistakes.
