Every so often, a third party inadvertently sends these mailers to people who are already registered to vote. 🙄 While I appreciate the effort, in many cases, their information is incorrect and confuses those already registered. Luckily, we have a website called BeBallotReady.Vote where people can verify their status, so if you see one of these in your mailbox, take a sec and jump on BeBallotReady.Vote to confirm.

I was honored to speak earlier this week with the AZ Liberty Network in Mesa. It was a great opportunity to discuss the upcoming 2026 elections and share the many improvements implemented during my first year as Maricopa County Recorder. I’m always grateful for the opportunity to engage with our community and connect with diverse groups to discuss the important work we do and the many ways we serve the residents of Maricopa County.

Thank you to Desert Garden Montessori for inviting Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap to speak with 11th and 12th grade civics students during their visit to downtown Phoenix last Friday. Recorder Heap met with students at the Sandra Day O’Connor U.S. Courthouse, where they also had the opportunity to hear from U.S. Federal Judge Sharad H. Desai, during a visit to Judge Desai's courtroom. Recorder Heap shared an overview of the Recorder’s Office, including the Office’s responsibility for maintaining voter files for more than 2.6 million active voters and administering early voting. He was also glad to answer the students’ many thoughtful questions. It was a pleasure engaging with such an informed and curious group of students!
