@ChattaGooner That’s why the Gabriel headbutt comes into play, we lost Rodri for a very similar boneheaded decision for 3 games that ended our title race that season, and I don’t think any logical Arsenal fan would say that shouldn’t have been given.

@ChattaGooner I mean the issue at the heart of this is inconsistency (I’d argue incompetency) of the officiating. If you want mma like physicality like what happened Sunday, that’s fine, but you can’t in the same match week be giving a red card for a slight tug of the hair in a different match

@ChattaGooner There was clearly a narrative to let physicality go. Outside of the ticky tack foul on Raya, the refs were lenient both ways and letting the game flow. Obviously the problem with the league, every game is officiated by a seemingly different standard, and calls contradict daily

@CaddilLackey Not making excuses, just looking at that play. It's a foul. It just is. If reviewed, I bet that gets reversed in most other situations. You want to say Gaby should have been off; that's a defensible argument. That's soccer, though. We go on.
