7/ Conclusion 📝 Always do your research and scrutinize projects claiming to be decentralized. True decentralization is about distributing power, ensuring transparency, and fostering community participation. Stay informed and protect your investments! 💡

6/ Dependency on Centralized Infrastructure 🏢 If a project relies heavily on centralized servers or infrastructure, it’s not fully decentralized. Decentralized projects use distributed networks to ensure resilience and security. 🌍

Thread: Centralized Projects Masquerading as Decentralized 1/ Beware of False Decentralization! 🚨 Not all projects that claim to be decentralized truly are. Some centralized entities present themselves as decentralized to attract users and investors.

The upcoming bull market is poised to significantly benefit Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) protocols. Over the past three months, this sector has seen the highest investments, reflecting growing demand for scalable cloud solutions and robust digital infrastructure. This surge in invested capital indicates strong investor confidence in IaaS's potential to revolutionize business operations in a digital-first world. What is IaaS ? IaaS in the crypto space refers to providing essential blockchain infrastructure components and services that allow developers, businesses, and projects to: - Develop their dApps or blockchain networks. - Launch and manage their projects without the need for underlying hardware. - Operate smoothly without the burden of infrastructure upkeep. Key Elements of IaaS include: - Node Hosting: - Providers run and maintain full blockchain nodes. - Enables developers to interact with blockchains without managing nodes. - Crucial for decentralization, data validation, and transaction processing. - APIs and SDKs: - Simplifies blockchain interaction. - Facilitates easier integration of blockchain functionalities into applications. - Scalability: - Offers solutions to manage fluctuating transaction loads and data processing. - Critical in crypto, where demand can change rapidly based on market conditions. - Security: - Implements robust measures against DDoS attacks, 51% attacks, and other threats. - Ensures network integrity and trustworthiness. - Cost Efficiency: - Reduces upfront costs by eliminating the need for expensive hardware. - Allows projects to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure management. Some undervalued IaaS Protocols to Watch 👇 - @dcicloudai $DCI ($2.08m MC) - @pushprotocol $PUSH ($4.18m MC) - @OpenCustody $OPEN ($4.72m MC) - @HNS $HNS ($7.22m MC) - @blocksquare_io $BST ($11.86m MC) - @nunet_global $NTX ($13.52m MC) - @clore_ai $CLORE ($14.13m MC) - @KYVENetwork $KYVE ($15.18m MC) Conclusion As we edge closer to the next bull market, IaaS protocols stand out as a sector with immense growth potential. With strong investor backing and a crucial role in enabling scalable, secure, and cost-effective blockchain solutions, these protocols are well-positioned to drive the next wave of digital innovation. Keep an eye on these undervalued projects—they may just be the next big protocols. Everyone's talking about rebrands. And I'm noticing a larger one around the whole space. Web3 -> New internet Example: @ensdomains Popping up in a lot of different places, "the new internet" is the new way to skirt around the baggage that "crypto" and "web3" have been carrying for years now. It's a nice blank slate. FTX didn't collapse on the new internet. Terra didn't depeg on the new internet. It's more forward-looking, more all-encompassing. "The new internet" can be broader than just crypto, too. It can mean AI, it can mean whatever comes after. It's a more inclusive and tech-agnostic way to position your brand, and may even feel safer amidst the drama of crypto in the political sphere. (ENS's new header image on twitter)
