There are so many was we can create a safe classroom environment for our kids to enjoy and grow within! Ever thought of creating a check in box? How about a feelings wall where students can move their name or avatar to the emotion they are feeling #educ4750 #UoNTeach

Something notable about @aitsl standard 4 is that by creating a safe and supportive learning environment, you are also promoting good health and well-being in your students. How do you feel when you are in a safe and supportive environment? #SDG3 #UoNTeach #EDUC4750

This book is such a great resource for students when beginning to teach climate change in our classrooms! It describes the terrible impact of trash on the ocean and marine life, inspiring us to make changes to save our oceans! #SDG13 #UoNTeach

@sarahritchie98 In the classroom, i will be trying to limit the amount of power I use. Can do this by always switching off the smart board & using natural light within the classroom

During the SDG12 Unit to reduce your carbon footprint, it is critical that teacher set an example by also making an active contribution to lowering their carbon foot print. If adults are not involved in the project, how can we expect children to? #UoNTeach #educ4750

@sarahritchie98 Such a great initiative. So many different ways, I have also seen bottles caps been used for this.

SDG12 involves the production of items through the use of recycled products. Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs is a great example of this. #educ4750 #UoNTeach #SDG12

@Courtney229498 There is now an updated version - Blooms Revised Taxonomy. Something you should look into. Not many changes however the terminology is a little different to what’s mentioned.

When my students begin their project throughout our integrated unit of work they will be following Blooms Taxonomy. In order to achieve rich and deep learning from the class in a structure approach. #educ4750 #UoNTeach

@Tull1Amy School gardens are such a great resource, can be used as a mindfulness place for relaxation, but also can be used as a way to promote healthy eating amongst students

Would having a school garden that students could tend to in lunch and recess times to help them get away if they need a quiet space during these hectic times at school benefit students? #UoNTeach #educ4750 #SDG3

Bloom’s revised taxonomy is a great resource to be added to every teacher’s tool kit. Employing Bloom’s in my unit and teaching strategies, specifically with the NSW general capabilities of #criticalandcreativethinking (General Capabilities, 2017) #SDG14 #uonteach #EDUC4750

@AustonAshlee I gave students a sticky note and they had to write something they like about the person they were given. Students then placed it on the whiteboard. Couldn’t wipe the smile off their faces.
