@Tull1Amy @scootle Such an important conversation to have with students, wellbeing and mental health should be a conversation before it becomes a problem

@scootle Students may see harmony day as the day they get to wear orange to school. Educating them on the importance of acceptance of everyone no matter what they look like or where they are from is crucial to students wellbeing growing up.

Excellent app. A great way to get students involved in not only cleaning up our environment but taking part in climate action. Bonus that there is rewards for students.

@OurOcean Clean Swell is an awesome app that allows students to work in teams and record trash collection. It gets children motivated and involved with engaging tasks and rewards. Working as a team will help students build skills of collaboration and problem-solving. #educ4750 #UoNteach

@Tull1Amy What a good reminder for educators to take a breather. I think I'll be taking advantage of this resource when not only my class is getting overwhelmed but also myself! Everyone needs to slow down and take a breath from time to time!

Guided Meditation incorporated into students everyday learning helps students to take a moment in their day to relax and regroup. They are then able to refocus for the rest of the day. #UoNteach #educ4750 #SDG3 youtu.be/EIRabf12InE

@mrsperkoteaches @ToniWrenOz @bitesizeSDGs Thank you for sharing! Definitely a topic we should all be educating ourselves on so we can have a better understanding of our students and making sure we are making reasonable adjustments to ensure everyone is safe, healthy and happy.

@CaitlinShoulder This is such a great visual representation of how climate change is impacting everyone! I love how it isn't just focusing on the negatives but also offers constructive suggestions to help keep us healthy and happy.

@CaitlinShoulder It is such a big problem and I couldn't agree more! Education is key to giving our kids power to make informed decisions. They will unfortunately be exposed to these things the least we can do is give them a toolbox to make healthy choices!

@AustonAshlee I believe this should be addressed as early as possible. Things can be adjusted for age appropriate learning. Implementing programs within schools is a great way to address the problem. Teachers should also have discussions with parents about the risks it may be posing.

With the rise of e-cigarets/vapes over the past few years it is slowly becoming more and more of an issue within schools. How do you think this problem should be addressed? When do you think is an appropriate age to discuss the dangers of smoking? #UonTeach #Educ4750 #SDG3

@mrsperkoteaches I couldn't agree more! The more education we offer our students through age appropriate methods and language the more chance they have to advocate and make informed decisions!

@AustonAshlee Gosh! As soon as possible, surely! Vaping is so prominent now in PRIMARY schools - the world has gone mad! I think when taught age-appropriately, the dangers of any drugs, legal or not, should be taught.
