🚨NEWS: According to today’s IMF release and last week’s report from US Bureau of Economic Analysis, CA fell back to 5th largest economy. In addition, the updated IMF data shows California was also 5th largest in 2024 rather than the 4th largest.  More coming soon.

And on nonfarm #jobs specifically: Year to date, the preliminary November numbers show California essentially stagnant, with a loss of 7,500 jobs. Since January 2024, California has grown only 14,900 jobs, while the US as a whole has expanded by 2.5 million.

Doug dedicated his life to public service and was a steadfast advocate for rural communities, agriculture, and the businesses that sustain California’s economy. He brought a strong work ethic, practical perspective, and deep commitment to his constituents to every role he served. Our thoughts are with the LaMalfa family and all those mourning the loss of a respected leader and public servant.”
