This week, @TransportGOP passed Dalilah’s Law to increase roadway safety and protect American families. It's simple, those who cannot read the signs on our highways or understand the rules of the road have no business getting behind the wheel of an 80,000-pound vehicle.  Inspired by Dalilah Coleman from Bakersfield who survived a horrific six-car pileup caused by an illegal immigrant driving an 18-wheeler, this bill would ensure each truck driver on America’s roads is qualified and legally operating. I am proud to stand with the Colemans and work with them to ensure no other family endures what they have.

The $540 million California is set to receive from @Interior is a transformative investment in the future of the Central Valley. With this funding, we can modernize our water infrastructure and ensure more reliable delivery to our communities, businesses, and farms. As America’s food production capital, the Central Valley plays a critical role in feeding the nation. Strengthening our water reliability isn’t just a California priority—it’s a matter of economic security that impacts every American.

Some of these systems have also been observed transmitting operational data back to servers located in China…The answer is not to retreat from these technologies. Today, @Interior announced California will receive $540 million in federal funding to support our water infrastructure! Water is the lifeblood of the Central Valley — this marks a historic investment in securing its future. Unfortunately, while we grow nearly 3/4 of the nation’s fresh fruits and nuts and 1/2 of its vegetables, we cannot store and move this precious resource effectively. This monumental funding will help us address this critical need. I worked with @POTUS and my California colleagues to secure this funding, which will directly strengthen the Friant-Kern, Delta-Mendota, and Tehama-Colusa canals, as well as the California Aqueduct and the Shasta Dam and Reservoir Enlargement Project. These are not just upgrades—they are transformative projects that will modernize how water moves across our state and ensure reliable delivery to communities, businesses, and farms. We must continue to bring California’s water management practices into the 21st century by reforming decades-old regulations and prioritizing the construction of water storage and conveyance infrastructure. This is how we secure California’s water future—now and for generations to come.

Our national security, our economy, and our values depend on America leading in the AI race. Every day, Chinese companies like DeepSeek and Unitree Robotics are exploiting American innovation and supporting China’s military activities. We cannot allow the CCP to further integrate its technology into American business operations, critical infrastructure, and autonomous platforms. Governor, California has strangled its own oil and gas production as well as its refinery capacity, driving up CA energy prices to 40% higher than the country as a whole — 100% higher in the case of electricity prices. California imports the majority of its oil from overseas, including the Middle East, and consumes more hydrocarbons than most other states. California is losing residents faster than any state in the country. Your comments are either ignorant or insincere. Either way, that’s not energy, economic OR environmental leadership…that’s outsourcing reality.

Boosting domestic energy supply by restarting the Sable operations will help stabilize fuel markets in California now and for years to come, strengthening energy reliability AND affordability. No doubt more needs to be done in California to revitalize domestic production. It’s past time to end Gavin Newsom’s chokehold on our energy industry.
