@jdenoy with a new update to the app we have removed that feature. You can update your device settings to keep the screen from timing out/auto locking.

Anyone using caltopo have an idea why the app doesn't keep the screen on anymore? Cc @CalTopoMaps Worked fine last week, now it makes SAR and other activities a little more complicated by needing to click on the screen every x seconds to keep it usable... #caltopo #Android

@CalTopoMaps how can I create a DEM layer, I don’t see it anywhere

@satrntgr Is this for track recording? You can instruct them to fill in their call sign when they start recording the track, or have them change their name in their account (web only, not mobile app).

@CalTopoMaps Is there a way to edit team members names to include their call signs on each map? without having to do it for every single call-out? It would make things a lot easier for me. Thanks.

@freemalefactor You have to allow third party cookies for the site. We've tried to fix it, but the problem isn't on our end. Email us if you need more info!

@CalTopoMaps I am having trouble logging into the forums. Since I’m new, is there some step I’m missing. I can log in to my accounts. But trying to log into anything at zendesk just gets an error.

@ai6yrham For ground-searching this presents a lot of challenges. Recommend developing grids/assignments based on contours, navigability, and more. @Stacey_HB_ that's concerning. Is it a particular location or all over? Does it disappear entirely, or what?

@CalTopoMaps the wind layer has fritzed out again this evening. Lost it for several hours this morning too.

@ultralightjerk we do have plans to make improvements to snap to in the future although we won't be able to revisit it anytime soon. In the meantime, you can try zooming in and panning the map to reduce the loading/processing time as you draw or measure a line.

@CalTopoMaps Is there a icon glossary anywhere to show what some of the icons mean? I know when you're in the program, you can see it, but I'd like to print something out to study. #Thanks

@satrntgr we don't have an icon glossary in the user guide or outside the program at this time. It sounds like you are already aware but if you hover over the icon in the app, the name of the icon will appear

@CalTopoMaps Basically just lat/long though, right? I can't link someone to a particular route on one of my saved maps? Would be useful I think.

@CalTopoMaps Any way to create a shareable URL to a specific path/track/marker in a map, so map zooms in on it just like if you click on it?

@bccarlso currently there is not a way to link to a particular route or map object. If you want to highlight a specific object on a map, you could set other folders to not be visible on page load, effectively hiding the objects in those folders
