Radical change is often met w criticism but I believe it’s necessary for health of the sport. Our playoff format is not why ratings drop in the fall, football is. If NASCAR wants casual fans & younger demo we should end our season before Sept 1st & offer all races thru network streaming apps & streaming services. We have to meet young people where they are.

In the last few years we've seen: - The plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer - The Storming of the Capitol and pipe bombs left at the RNC and DNC - The break-in to kidnap Nancy Pelosi and the brutal on Paul Pelosi - Multiple assassination attempts against Trump - The assassination of Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and the shooting of on State Senator John Hoffman and his wife - Luigi Mangione's assassination of Brian Thompson - The assassination of Charlie Kirk Political violence is contagious. It is spreading. It is not confined to one side or belief system. It should terrify us all. The foundation of a free society is the ability to participate in it without fear of violence. Political violence is always an attack against us all. You have to be so blind not to see that.

@jeff_gluck The playoff fatigue is definitely a part of this but it still blows my mind that NBC wants the playoffs but then sticks the first two races on cable where they go directly up against football being shown on national broadcasts

MLB is the worst I’ve said this before: they should stagger opening day start times ~every 30 mins like opening round of March madness and make a celebration out of it. Get people excited for the whole sport instead of their team Oh and do NOT compete with March madness

I feel like baseball not starting today is a huge missed opportunity. We’re all having withdrawals from no basketball today and what better way to fill that than with the start of baseball season. Instead they wait until later of the week when they have to battle w/ tourney ball.
