My wife had a pretty rude awakening in the car this weekend. She mentioned in passing she thought she was a lot more affectionate than me. I turned around and said “hey guys, which parent is more affectionate to you? Affectionate meaning hugs you, kisses you, and says I love you.” They both said “oh, that’s you dad!” but with an inflection like that was a very stupid question. My wife was stunned at the rebuke.

When I was a young photographer I took pictures of scenery and architecture. I tried to avoid getting people into the picture.
Now, in my 70s, the only things I care about in old photos are the people.

DESTINY 2 IS DEAD. 9 YEARS. OVER
The final update hits June 9. After that - no seasons, no story, no future. Just a game kept on life support so the lights stay on.
Marathon flopped. Destiny 2 is done. Bungie is now a studio with no live game and no announced next game.

The idea that reading more than one book in a whole month for pleasure is a unachievable goal is absurdity.
If a book a month is YOUR norm, that’s FINE. Accept that & stop projecting your inferiority complex.

@howlsponyo I feel like if you're speeding through books, like faster than a book a month, you're not reading anything super challenging. Try reading something for teens published before 1950. You should be stopping every few pages to look up words unless that genre is your jam.

right now we're on twitter. that's what everyone calls it. they rebranded years ago. it makes no difference whatsoever. it's twitter, and you're not here because of the rebrand, the rebrand had absolutely nothing to do with it, it doesn't matter at all.

my firm went through a rebrand last year. we hired expensive consultants to come in and design a mood board for us and redesign our logo and rebuild our website.
do you know what that did to revenue? nothing.
this year we hired a sales leader who uses a pager and has never used social media. he immediately closed $30M in new business in his first 90 days.
it's not the brand.
