@CatfishFishy The balance between economic sustainability and minimal friction is the true UX design of Web3. It's not just about scaling, but about keeping incentives aligned to keep the network running.

Here is the reality of fees in web3: Execution fees, DA fees, settlement fees, bridging fees, etc. will all converge towards being as low as possible, but being still high enough for economically rational actors to operate that infrastructure. Therefore, the most sustainable sources of moats on your profit margins are two things: 1. Being an enshrined protocol that's a "standard" where you can't have other competing protocols permissionlessly join (Example: SWIFT or utility companies) 2. MEV: If your protocol generates or controls valuable pieces of state and orderflow, there are profit margins to be made on interacting with those resources, yet only one party gets to execute and capture that value. If your protocol is the gatekeeper to that value, you will always have a willing bidder willing to pay for it up to almost the entirety of the profit margin of that.
