Fall Preview: Caleb Ash Ready to Anchor Troy's Offensive Line @Caleb54Ash
After an impressive first season as a starter, Caleb Ash enters 2026 poised to become one of the cornerstones of Troy's offensive line. The 6-foot-6, 301-pound sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia, showed tremendous growth during his redshirt freshman campaign and now looks ready to take another step toward becoming one of the Sun Belt's premier tackles.
Ash emerged as Troy's starting right tackle in 2025, starting seven games while appearing in 12 total contests. He logged 581 offensive snaps, including 484 at right tackle and another 97 at left tackle, proving he has the versatility to protect either edge of the offensive line. One of his most impressive performances came in Troy's road victory at Buffalo, where he played a season-high 85 snaps against a physical defensive front.
Perhaps the biggest sign of Ash's development came late in the season. He did not allow a sack in four of Troy's final six games, displaying improved technique, consistency, and confidence in pass protection while helping stabilize the offensive line during the Trojans' postseason run.
Ash redshirted in 2024 after arriving from Langston Hughes High School, one of Georgia's premier football programs. A three-star prospect, he was rated by On3 as the No. 96 overall player in Georgia and the No. 65 offensive tackle in the nation. At Langston Hughes, he helped lead the Panthers to the Georgia 6A Playoffs, continuing a tradition of producing Division I talent.
Why He's Important
With a full season of starting experience under his belt, Ash is expected to be one of Troy's most dependable offensive linemen. His length, athleticism, and ability to play both tackle positions provide valuable flexibility for the coaching staff, while his continued development should strengthen both the passing and running game.

Outlook
Caleb Ash enters the 2026 season with the experience and confidence to become a leader along Troy's offensive front. After proving he can handle starting duties in the Sun Belt, he'll be counted on to protect the quarterback, create running lanes, and continue his progression into one of the conference's top offensive tackles. If his late-season play in 2025 is any indication, Ash has the potential to earn All-Sun Belt recognition while helping anchor one of Troy's strongest position groups.

Just a reminder that @evancrenshaw22 is a punt god. 3 punts, 162 yards, 54 yard average. Huge relief having a guy like that who can bail us out of tough situations.
Tough loss last night in overtime to end our non region play. All focus is on region play in 2 weeks, time to get back to work! Last night I finished with 130 yards with 2tds on 6 catches. Coaches check out these plays! @RecruitGeorgia@NAHS_FBrecruits@CoaLBViking@RecruitNE_GA@BigSkippin_75
Two days before the December NSD, Troy hired away Gerad Parker from Notre Dame as its new head coach.
And how things ended up? The Trojans signed the No. 1 class in the Sun Belt.
