The North Atlanta Girls 4x100m relay is currently ranked #3 in Georgia.

Two North Atlanta School Records that stood for 19 years go down yesterday. Ka’Mya Lowe passed the great Porche Byrd in the 100m. Amira Gentry, Mikayla Myers, Jordyn Frempong-Manso, and Ka’Mya break the 4x100m relay school record.

I couldn’t get the mats off the ground so I called the strongest kids on the team to help. A war ensued shortly after. It was tug-o-war with the track, and it refused to let go. The mat melted to the track! What kind of sci-fi adventure is happening right now?! Eventually they got it to part ways, and you can see the sticky goo that remained. We’re fighting like hell to just have what we need to compete. One day at a time…we just find a way to make things happen. No surrender, no retreat.

@tjmcaulay The QB isn’t protected running the ball. You would be putting too much on the defender to have him determine if he’s faking the run or giving it. Maybe they shouldn’t leave the end unblocked while faking a run at him. Also how is he defenseless when running right at the defender

This is a targeting foul. The QB clearly no longer has the ball, which is obvious to the defender, making him defenseless. There is forcible contact to the head/neck area and it's with the crown of the helmet. It violates both targeting rules.

Wow! I never thought I’d get to coach my son in track. He didn’t want to run. Not bad for his first race. I’m excited about where this can go.

@Ramichie82 At the high school level many jumpers are hurdlers/sprinters. If this that new school science where you don’t touch the distances you compete at I’m good.

Your jumpers don’t need to be running 300s….they don’t even need to run over 200m to get better…
