As bad as the protesters were in Ottawa, they were nothing compared to the FLQ.
Fears of econ damage is no excuse to suspend civil rights.

@LukaszukAB Any time a democratic government suspends civil liberties outside of war time, it's almost always wrong.
Trudeau senior did it and had a 80% approval rating or something like that. Decades later, we realized it was wrong and changed the war measures act to the EA.

@LukaszukAB Are you going to pay for families who can't afford winter tires? They're priced at luxury level items despite the safety increase. Are you going to pay for the rims or swap over services? Those keep going up each season... Not very realistic.
