Thank goodness every Province in Canada has easy access to oil and gas energy because Canada is self sufficient…….oh wait, there’s no pipeline to Quebec or the Maritimes. WOW, that’s just crazy!!

@JeffreyRWRath @donahugh216 Actually, the King has every right to comment on Alberta separation, especially on such a ludicrous concept. We have a constitutional monarchy, an outstanding form of Parliamentary Government. King can only comment, but thinking Canadians would be disappointed if he didn’t.

The U.S. war in Iran may be good for Alberta’s budget, but when I saw $1.42/litre on a service station tonight, I was sure happy that my car has a 4 cylinder engine!!

@DanWMcLean This is getting ridiculous Dan. Try entering 2nd Street SW from 20th or 21st Avenue. If you go South, the barricades for the bike lanes force you to drive into the oncoming traffic. The bike lanes concept has gone way beyond logic. Someone has to stop the insanity.

The “War on the Car” continues with MILLIONS to be spent removing hundreds of Parking spots and a driving lane for bikes on 26th Ave. I’ve heard the 15th Ave Bike Lane cost close to $1M per Block so wouldn’t Tax Dollars be better spent on Water Pipes??

Watching the price of oil reminds me of a long ago economics class when the instructor said “Excess profit breeds ruinous competition.” The market is not your friend or your enemy, the market just is!

@CBCNews @judyaldous Judy, when you were interviewing the man from Algoma Steel tonight, I was hoping you would ask how much steel Algoma might be able to produce for the new Smith/Carney pipeline.

@RosieBarton In all the interviews on Sunday morning there was little discussion about the Canadian economy which is under attack. Auto industry in crisis, softwood lumber stalled, we must export more of everything including oil and gas for the entire country.

@LRTontheGreen Always supported the Green Line going South. Objected to tunnels, lack of compatibility with existing LRT, and lack of connectivity downtown.

Prime Minister Carney and Premier Smith must now put on their best sales hats and tour the country visiting every Rotary Club, every Community Group and town halls to sell and explain the MOU. The country is in an economic war and this is one of our best and strongest solutions.

@DKTPH @DuaneBratt We are largely a nation of centrists. Peter Lougheed said that in 1972 and fifty years later our political parties discover it like a revelation. Extremists on all sides do not last in Canada.

Mark Carney signs the MOU and gets a standing ovation from the business community in Calgary. Danielle Smith signs the MOU and is loudly booed by her own party activists in Edmonton.

A friend recently returned from China and said that it feels like we are living in the Dark Ages. High speed trains, amazing electric cars, bridges and infrastructure. We argue over building a critical pipeline. Ridiculous!!

Calgary Transit; There was a bus stalled on 4th Street SW this morning and just saw a line of four busses under the Stampede Trail underpass. Can’t recall this happening in past years? What’s up and where are the graders and snow plows. Who has seen a plow?

@ThrillaRilla369 Let me go one better. Until the early 70’s, if you went to the last movie of the day, they played God Save The Queen at the end and everyone stood and no one left until it was over!!

My grandpa told me that in the old days, TV channels would stop broadcasting around midnight. They'd play the national anthem and then go completely off air until morning. Is that real, or is he messing with me?

Imagine if Alberta left Canada tomorrow. Taxes would go down immediately. The endless flood of immigration would end. Leftists would flee to Toronto. We’d instantly be more free. Tariffs would end. We’d see a better standard of living. It would feel like Alberta again.

Here’s a couple of questions for the universe: (1) Is Canada Post operating, can we mail things? (2) Why is TELUS about the only company in the world that doesn’t provide a phone number?
