It was historic day for Global Kidney Health as the Executive Board of @WHO has agreed to recommend a resolution promoting Kidney Health to the World Health Assembly WHA78. The resolution was sponsored by Guatemala🇬🇹 & proudly co-sponsored by Somalia🇸🇴 & other countries. Looking forward to a successful adoption on the upcoming WHA78. "In Brazil, it’s currently estimated that 1 out of 10 people have some sort of kidney disease, leading to 24 million people with some stage of chronic kidney disease. Despite these huge numbers, we still have only about 700 per million population under renal replacement therapy compared to other countries where this number reaches as high as 3000 per million population. These figures help us understand why we need detection, prevention, and treatment of chronic kidney disease to be a public health care priority in our nation." @acssjr, Brazil
