@socialwithaayan I wouldn’t personally trust an AI app to destroy files on my computer. But also, while I do not agree with the subscription model, I also believe in the right of a dev and /*put any profession at risk from AI here*/ to be able to make a living of their work.

Someone built a free, open-source CleanMyMac alternative with zero telemetry. And it is fully native SwiftUI. It's called PureMac. And it does everything CleanMyMac does for the most common cleaning tasks. For $0. Here is the problem with every existing macOS cleaner: CleanMyMac: $39.99 per year. Tracks your usage. Sends data home. MacCleaner Pro: $29.99 one time. Closed source. DiskDiag: Limited. Not automated. Every other option: ads, telemetry, or a subscription. PureMac has none of that. Here is what it handles: -> Xcode derived data, archives, and simulators (devs: you know how fast this grows) -> Homebrew cache that bloats silently over months -> System caches and logs that macOS never cleans itself -> Scheduled automatic cleaning. Set it once. Forget it. Built entirely in native SwiftUI. Menu bar integration. Progress indicators. Dedicated settings and scheduling views. No AppKit hacks. No Electron. A real Mac app. What you will never find in it: -> Zero telemetry -> Zero analytics -> Zero subscriptions -> Zero data collection The developer built this because every available tool either charged money or phoned home. So he built one that does neither. MIT License. Open Source. Free.

@Dexerto So basically, they didn’t want to pay the rights for the use of a real picture. I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure this is illegal in Canada.

After days of @CedrikSeguin (@HFTVSports) claiming he was “assaulted,” refusing to post the video, and saying their evidence is strong, but decided not to press charges. The video I obtained shows a minor altercation at most. Nowhere near the narrative they pushed online about the situation. Don’t antagonize all game, then try to make our fanbase look bad over something that clearly wasn’t what you portrayed it to be. None of this would’ve ever happened if he acted like the thousands of other Habs fans who came to Buffalo to support their team and left without issues. Instead, he spent the day trolling fans, swearing at kids, escalating situations, and then played victim afterward for engagement. And for the record, in New York, “pressing charges” isn’t solely your decision, that’s up to law enforcement based on the evidence available. Since they wouldn’t post the video themselves, here it is for everyone to see.

GPT 5.5 is surprisingly good at recreating UIs from a URL, DESIGN.md or designs made in Images 2.0. It struggles with animations and WebGL, but you can work around that by providing the skills or HTML.

@briandefelice_ Nobody seems to actually give a fck of his speech, like if it was a regular thing. So lame, why not do a motivating speech instead of bashing your teammates. And he is wearing the A, gg.

@joshpuckett Looks interesting, but I’m not a dev, is that meant to be used in Framer or Figma?

@ybhrdwj @wayne_culbreth Well my hour rate is about 200/hr, but I’m not dumb enough to think that the price of an app should be based on the time required to code it, but in it’s value and it’s return on investment in the middle run.

I love the retro airport terminal look, but didn't want to spend $3.5k on a vestaboard. I coded a fun tool that turns any tv into a vestaboard. > add quotes / weather / stats etc > no subscription, $199 one time fee > first customer gets a free tv hmu :)
