@BiasedHouston In my opinion, Houston didn’t have as bad of a season as some people make it out to be. They lost some really frustrating games, but the main reasons were lack of motivation, organizational issues, and the bench not meeting expectations.

The first question I think you have to ask yourself this offseason is do you want to build around Alperen Şengün and Amen Thompson. I think these two have undeniably showed the most upside of the young core. Do you roll with that upside or go a different direction?

Can they top this? Absolutely. Should they top this? Not at all. To beat a Tyler Herro (borderline all-star 26-year old), Jaime Jaquez (25-year old 6MOTY runner up), Kelel Ware (very promising 22-year old), and 3 first round picks offer, the Rockets would likely have to offer: - Alperen Şengün (center piece of the trade from both an asset and salary perspective) - At LEAST one of (if not both) Jabari Smith and Reed Sheppard - At LEAST 3-4 first round picks In a vacuum, this is what Giannis is worth. The problem is, this Rockets team is so much more than a Giannis away and this type of trade does not leave them with the needed assets to build a winner around Giannis/KD before the two of them age out/retire. It’d be so much smarter to use those assets to build a team that actually makes sense around the young talent we do have.

@jonastyle_ He had the trust of the Turkish National Team and its coach. I think Şengün’s shooting issue might be more psychological and coach-related rather than technical. A coach who scolds him like a child for taking threes can create psychological pressure on a player.

Currently, yes. But people act like Sengun already hit his ceiling. We still haven’t seen him surrounded by elite shooting and real role players. He dominated with the Turkish national team when the offense ran through him. Give him a complete roster first, then judge him.

With 19 seconds on the shot clock, this is actually an atrocious shot selection by Wemby with everything on the line. People don't realize shots from this range is mostly ineffective unless you are Steph Curry. The defense reacts to Curry from out there because they know he can keep doing it. If you can move the defense because it's scared of you shooting a 35-footer, then the possibilities become endless, but as long as the defense doesn't react with any regularity - it never has and never will for anyone not named Curry - this is just a bold and a highly questionable shot. Imagine the criticism if Wemby missed this shot. That said, it was incredible shot-making and ridiculously clutch, so hats off to Wemby for the conversion. Shockingly good.

I’m all for no suspension. No history. And to be honest, Wolves gameplan revolves around playing against Wemby. But no fine is actually kinda insane considering Naz could’ve really been hurt. Seen people fined for doing way less. No fine is showing what he did was ok.
