I'm starting a long-form series on:
"How to Turn Social Media into a University" (Part 1)
TOPIC: "1,000 Hours of Focus Advice in 28 Minutes"
I spent 28 minutes watching the video and the rest of my day researching and figuring out its core message
My notes:
Act as if
→ Act as "if" you are already the person you want to become
And after spending my day cooking on this stuff, I realized that my brain is constantly looking for evidence to support my "identity". The more I believe a certain story about myself, the more my actions start aligning with it
Quick ex:
→ If I keep telling myself, "I'm afraid to post because I think nobody will engage with it" then congratulations, this post is going to sit in my drafts forever
But...
→ If I remind myself that not posting also gets me 0 engagement, I'm more likely to publish anyway
(at least this post gonna get freedom)
The only difference is that something gets created
If I post and get 0 engagement, at least I finished the post, shared an idea, and got one rep in. And "if" I keep doing that, I'm reinforcing the "identity" of someone who creates instead of someone who overthinks
The belief itself doesn't create results
The belief changes your behavior, and behavior creates results.
This is just my vision !!
