It actually makes sense for utility-focused NFTs to dominate the next chapter because, if we're being honest, IP-focused NFTs have been a big disappointment over the past few years. There's been little to no alignment between NFT holders and the projects themselves (with very few exceptions). Retail has shown little interest in buying in. And the benefits of holding, if any, often just amount to giving you the opportunity to spend even more money

day 8 of opening a $50 pokemon starter pack until i pull an epic special day today, thanks @mnstr for the free $100 great pack!

there are still money making opportunities out there as a creator, but there are two big problems in this space 1. creators accepting $25 for posts, or participating in raffles 2. agencies exploiting the broke creators, paying them pennies, while they're bagging hundreds of thousands in their pockets agencies saw that this new wave of "creators" are willing to post essentially for free, just the promise of winning a raffle being enough. they built a whole business model around this and it's fucking thriving. you generate millions of views from small accounts posting, you flex to your clients "look at these crazy metrics" and you charge them a lot of money. creators get pennies, because not even all who participate are getting paid, and boom, you have a wildly successful campaign with minimum costs. genius tbh. and it's a vicious circle, because word gets out and more and more people will post for the PROMISE of money. the solution is simple. stop selling yourself for pennies. but i guess there will always be people broke and desperate to make money because they saw others flexing deals. and no bro, $25 isn't a lot, $50 isn't a lot, $200 isn't a lot either. if these agencies stop getting reach, they die, and you might get a decent deal on your own, if you actually put in the work.
