@NotVeryAndy I do think the “central idea” is just the cube which I think is a great addition to the sandbox but it definitely feels like there’s no reason it has to spawn in the sulfur caves
Big fan of the content btw been watching for quite some time your production value is just insane
English

@NotVeryAndy Sulfur Cube feeling “disconnected” from the sulfur caves is the best explanation I’ve heard so far
I think Chaos Cubed and The Garden Awakens are pretty comparable (interesting new sandbox tool/mob + disappointing biome) but the Creaking def had more connection with it’s biome
English

@Water_Addict_ @NotVeryAndy I understand being underwhelmed with it I am just confused on why it seems like there is such a massive negative reaction especially when I feel like comparable updates did not have the same reaction
Maybe people were just expecting more after 26.1 was kinda ass?
English

@CallMeGhaul @NotVeryAndy (Mb for over explaining btw, I think I read your initial message wrong and assumed you didn’t know why people disliked the drop at all or something, clearly you do tho so apologies)
English

@Water_Addict_ @NotVeryAndy I mean I agree with most of these I just still don’t see where the “directionless” complaint comes from
To me it’s pretty clearly to add a new sandbox/exploration element to the game identical to 1.21.4 or 1.21.6
The sulfur cube is the direction - everything is added around it
English

@CallMeGhaul @NotVeryAndy Not to mention the odd idea to make the sulfur cube and its biome not have anything to do with explosives or anything with the element besides dizzy water
And also the person who apparently heavily influenced the generation handling in 1.18 doesn’t work at Mojang anymore
English

@xiaetherx either way the current borders of the desert are just atrocious like looking at the full map makes me cringe because the desert just looks so bad along that back edge i think fixing just that would have a noticeable impact
English

@CallMeGhaul yeah i do think the ochkanatlan position isn’t ideal but you could also just put it where the collective of plenty is and then put that to the south of the continent instead and that’d work pretty well
English

you can tell exactly when it started to look like an incoherent mess and it’s obviously with natlan

English

@xiaetherx This definitely better but I do really like the current shape of Natlan so I wouldn’t want to move Ochkanatlan
Plus it doesn’t really fix archipelago impact
I couldn’t include because of text limit but my edit would definitely need a desert “expansion” to fix the horrible coast
English

@CallMeGhaul i do think it’s much better like this (nod-krai being further north makes more sense too) though i prefer another edit someone else commented where it’s more fitted into the bigger continent
English

@shrinkleberry yeah it’s crazy that they foreshadowed marathon all the way back in 2021
i wonder if they had prototypes of cryo archive already 😳

And splashdown!
America is back in the business of sending astronauts to the Moon and bringing them home safely.
Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy did an outstanding job. These talented astronauts inspired the world and represented their space agencies and nations as humanity’s ambassadors to the stars.
This was a test mission, the first crewed flight of SLS and Orion, pushing farther into the unforgiving environment of space than ever before, and it carried real risk. They accepted that risk for all we stood to learn and for the exciting missions that follow, as we return to the lunar surface, build a Moon base, and prepare for what comes next.
And they were not alone. The entire NASA workforce, our commercial and international partners, and the hopes and dreams of people all over the world were with them. The astronauts know it, and you should too. This mission would not have been possible without you.
Congratulations. Artemis II, mission accomplished.

@Gothalion And that’s what’s do cool about NMS because I do not care for it at all
I logged in, played 1 match, thought “this definitely isn’t for me,” and logged out
But the game is so wide now that if an update doesn’t appeal to me there’s still so much more to do that it doesn’t matter
English

@Rikkadesuu_ @eternalyaemiko @chioriis For how long it’s been teased and built up I expected Chenyu Vale size
English

@eternalyaemiko @chioriis What you expect it to be same size as Liuye harbor?
English

@Bissevoven @BeetleChosen @KeebyAstrokat When I started a new season on my server I intentionally locked off other dimensions until we completed all Advancements
We were still feeling the “progression” but it was much slower and gave many side tasks
Apparently it worked because we’re still playing a year+ later
English

@BeetleChosen @KeebyAstrokat Minecraft is better for playing slow now than 15 years ago ngl, you actually have side tasks to do alongside just building and getting to the dragon
just wish there was any reason to explore outside of finding good build spots
English

the average player stopped trying to build. they just make one house they copy off youtube and then speedrun to the ender dragon and get bored of the game. modern minecraft encourages progression over creativity, and then doesnt provide meaningful progression

Old minecraft interiors had a vibe I have never seen anyone replicate
English

I have criticisms of MC updates same as everyone else but the Sulfur Cube is a great addition and that was obvious from the second of it’s reveal
You just need some creativity to see it

I’m from Houston. I don’t love it much. There’s a reason I moved away. But stuff like this really gives me something to love.
