Adolf Hitler declared Magnus Hirschfield "the most dangerous Jew in Germany" because he was a gay man who did extensive medical and social research based around trans people and provided them resources to transition. In case there was any doubt who these people are emulating.

A while back I had a conversation about how for cis queer people, acts of transphobia can feel uniquely paralysing. They feel very close to home. Sometimes they trip the ‘oh god, my family is in danger’ response, which means we often centre our own anger, or freeze up. 1/6
