@StAnalysis @SaintRick78 Agreed. Looked like we started 3-5-2 and then switch to 4-4-2 in less than 5 mins? Which meant Gallagher was higher up, and he doesn’t have the quality required for being that high. He gave the ball away hopelessly for the first goal for this reason.

@CalumBoath @SaintRick78 It's like they freeze and just assume every change will make them weaker, while our opponents roll the dice and try and change things. We played the exact same way for about 80 minutes yesterday and didn't lead at any point.

Mitov getting a lot of (deserved) blame here, but anyone any idea why 3 defenders casually stroll out the box (2 side by side), instead of protecting the goal, when they can see both a shot getting lined up + the keeper miles out his box? CBs show a lack of attention every game.

@StAnalysis @SaintRick78 Exactly, and to add to that Sidibeh hasn’t lasted a proper full 90 since he arrived so surely you have Kimpioka ready to go on at 60+. Fair enough give Sidibeh 5/10 after goal after he’s had that boost but then change should have been made.

@CalumBoath @SaintRick78 It's not that first time either, and the opposite of what I expected from a manager as experienced as that. He should know the warning signs of a tiring player/team by now. Understand why he didn't sub Sidibeh off straight after the goal, but needed to do so not long after.

@StAnalysis @SaintRick78 Yeah my point exactly - again whole stadium could see it and Levein and Kirk took an age to change it.

@CalumBoath @SaintRick78 Worst bit about the Sidibeh stuff is how long it took them to react. He was clearly struggling and then went down, but Kimpioka wasn't even sent to warm up until it happened again. Then you get a further wait while they explain to Kimpioka some tactical stuff.

@StAnalysis @SaintRick78 Agree with both points. In terms of attack that’s on Levein. Why Gallagher was at LM when we need a goal and have quality of Carey on the bench I’ll never know. Sidibeh was knackered and should have came off 10 mins before he did, basically had to play with 10 for over 5 mins.

@CalumBoath @SaintRick78 Phillips is a dreamer too defensively, so it's not too surprising anymore when he loses runners or doesn't bother tracking them. Think there's such an obsession with defending the box that our wing backs sit so narrow and that's why we teams get so much space to cross against us

@SaintRick78 Same for the winner. Player goes right between them, Gordon dreaming after being dragged all over the place by one of the simplest attacking movements possible. McGowan caught on his heels Attack will get blamed this season too, despite never seeing the ball in the box.

@letson98 Was there that day and atmosphere was phenomenal from that lot, and that’s coming from a saints fan who was sat soaked down the front. Mind you we have our proper keeper that day and at least 3/4 goals don’t happen. Luckily beat them in the proper cup a few months later💙
