Interesting potential winger in Australia?
Jonny Yull, apparently out of contract this Summer. Data wise above average for him team at most things, and *looks* decent on the ball too. Tell me you dont see McPake here...

Would like him back but just a feeling that it wont happen, yet anyway.

@StAnalysis I’ve heard from a couple of people that we are trying to get Liam Gordon back as his contract at Motherwell is up at the end of the season. Personally don’t see it happening but one of the people that said it works at McDiarmid park 😅

Do wonder if Zak Johnson would be an interesting CB pick up. Maybe not a position we're after but apparently out of contract this Summer and if we do want a younger 4th choice to develop he ticks a lot of boxes i think we'd want.
Actually reminds me of Mikulic movement wise.

@StAnalysis Aye could see Doherty being legit. If we get a fee for Sprangler then he could come in as backup CM, 5th choice CB and 2nd/3rd choice RB?
If the club are close to a signing I could imagine an announcement before June to try kick-start season ticket sales.

Another Mitchell (Alex or Zach) type feels good for where the squad is, could be good enough to play regularly, could be fine as someone who rotates in, depending on how current CBs fare.

The ref/VAR simply did not have the footage, or time, to actually analyse the situation with the clip they had and guessed. Its not worth any more words

Muting this because I cant be bothered with the Celtic fans not understanding that the ball hitting a hand doesnt automatically make it a penalty. For them its worth thinking whether that gets given against them at Parkhead to cost them the league, and we all know the answer.

@melldoom He headers the ball away, if it hits his head and his hand then his hand is within the shape of his body.
You simply do not get that trajectory if it doesnt also hit his head.

@StAnalysis Ah, so we arrive at the terminus at last. It's all the Celtic players fault that he had his hand in front of his forehead when going to head the ball. His hand is absolutely not within the shape of his body. Beaton watched the reply and saw this and rightly gave a penalty.

@melldoom @coulter_graeme No, he was using his arms to jump, as everyone does, and Trusty jumping beside him prevented his arm coming back down and instead forced it upwards.

His hand is "within" the shape of his body as its at his head, he gains mo advantage from his hand position.
Beaton cannot tell he gains an advantage from what he saw, and guessed in Celtics favour.

@StAnalysis I agree, not every handball is a foul. This one however definitely is. He jumps up to head the ball with his hand in front of his head. A stonewall penalty all day long. Thanks for your interest though.

IFAB state its not a handball, even if the ball hits your hand, unless you "deliberately make your natural body shape bigger" and block the ball
Considering his hand is between his head and the ball, I dont see how that is making his body bigger

@ballaghCFC @GlasgowVotedYes His arm is being pushed up by another player, he cant just make it vanish. It doesnt make his "silhouette" bigger in terms of impacting the ball.

Its not a deliberate handball, its not gaining an advantage, and its a natural position for his arm with someone forcing it upwards
