Yesterday we welcomed Biotechnology students from @TampereUni 🇫🇮. They got to see #organoids derived from placenta and uterus, learnt why mice play video games in the lab of @georg98keller, and gained a sense of the importance of #bioinformatics in supporting our research.

Later this week, we’ll celebrate #InternationalWomensDay2023! For the occasion, we asked @KonsNikol, a PhD student in the Turco lab, how it feels to study how the human endometrium regenerates after menstruation — work that may one day impact #women’s reproductive health.

New role for Protein Phosphatase 1 in embryonic polarity in @JCellBiol! It was fun to write this piece with @AndrBarrosCarv1 to highlight the excellent @Calvilda @GottaLab work. #celegans 🪱 brought us the Big Bang of PAR polarity, and will continue to teach us its principles

A pleasure to co-write this with @Polarity_i3S, and learn more about C.elegans A-P polarity! Thanks @JCellBiol for the invitation and congratulations to @Calvilda et al. on their awesome paper (bit.ly/3B3JcQd) bringing PP1 phosphatase to the central stage of the PARty 🥳

.@CalviIda, Schwager & Gotta @GottaLab @UNIGEnews identify PP1 protein phosphatases as regulators of cell #polarity in #Celegans embryos, showing that they interact with the polarity protein PAR-2 to control its localization bit.ly/3B3JcQd

A lot of fun at the #nuitdesmusees #Geneva. Curious and amazed faces of kids looking at C. elegans and its embryos dividing are priceless. Thanks @NCCR_ChemBio for this opportunity.
